Homemade Dutch Baby Pancake with Blueber

Grandma's German Pancakes

We're not sure if these have any real roots in Germany, but Mike grew up eating these pancakes in his childhood home. They are made in the oven and are a little denser than your standard American pancakes! Super good with any topping, but again, we always recommend dream syrup!

12 eggs

2 Cups Milk

1/2 Tsp Salt

2 Cups Flour

1/2 Tsp Vanilla

2 Tbsp Sugar

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 425 F.

Use a pan with high sides to bake the pancakes. Casserole dishes work the best.

Melt 1/4 cube of butter in each pan. Pour in enough of the batter to cover the bottom of the pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. The batter will rise at it bakes up the sides of the pan. It really is quite beautiful!

Serve with maple syrup, fruit, or whatever topping you prefer with pancakes!
