Another favorite from Mike's growing up years and one that Peter really loves. Simple and easy to make, this granola will stick to your ribs and keep you going all morning.
10 Rolled Oats
2 Cups Toasted Wheat Germ
8 Oz Sliced Almonds (optional)
2 Cups Coconut (optional)
1 Cup Honey
1 Cup Vegetable Oil
Preheat over to 300 F. Line two large cookie sheets with foil. In a saucepan heat honey and oil until bubbles appear. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl, pour oil and honey over the mixture, stir to combine. Bake 30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
If you want crispy granola , allow it to cool completely in the pans before storing. If you want chewy granola, store while it is still warm. Enjoy!
