Pumpkin Spice Donuts
This was our first try at making donuts and they were amazingly easy and so super yummy! Using the canned dough made it super simple and meant we didn't have to wait long before enjoying their deliciousness!
Peanut oil, for frying
2 + cans large buttermilk biscuits
Pumpkin Spice coating:
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon pumpkin spice blend
Heat 2 inches peanut oil in a large pot or Dutch oven to 350 degrees F.
In a shallow bowl, stir together the pumpkin spice blend and sugar and set aside.
Lay out the biscuits on a cutting board and with a 1 1/2-inch round cookie or biscuit cutter(or medicine cup 😂), cut out a hole from the middle of each biscuit. Fry them in the oil until golden and then flip with tongs to fry the other side. followed by the donut holes. Drain on paper towels and then toss in the pumpkin spice mixture and eat as soon as possible!
